He is currently a Northern Virginia Endodontist but a product of the public school system of Paterson, New Jersey, where he was raised. He attended Rutgers the State University and received a B.A. in Biology. He attended and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, receiving a Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree. This is a dental school that, to this day, values critical, global thinking as well as excellence clinically.
Dr. Citron then entered the New Jersey School of Medicine and Dentistry, and received a Certificate of Specialty in Endodontics . Dr. Citron has maintained a private endodontic practice in Vienna, always putting ethics at the forefront of his treatment philosophy and mission. As a dedicated and professional Northern Virginia Endodontist, he continues to perform endodontic services, Pro Bono for three social service agencies in the area. In 2003, he received a special award for outstanding volunteer service to the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic that services the disadvantaged community in our midst. Dr. Citron still volunteers actively in this program.
He has been honored by the Northern Virginia Magazine, The Consumers’ Research Counsel of America and The Washingtonian Magazine as a “Top Endodontist”. He is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association and Northern Virginia Dental Society. He is a member and past president of the Virginia Academy of Endodontists and the Edward C. Penick Endodontic Study Club. He is also an active member of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity and the Northern Virginia Academy of Clinical Dentistry.
Born in Saigon, Dr. Nguyen immigrated to the United States in 1976. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Columbia University.
She completed Residencies, first in General Practice at the Washington, DC Veterans Affairs Hospital, and later in advanced Endodontics at New York University where she graduated in 2008. She practiced general dentistry for five years in Northern Virginia and California, and since 2008, has been practicing Endodontics.
Dr. Nguyen resides in Arlington, Virginia and enjoys marathon running and snowboarding. Wanting to give back to her native country, she has volunteered with Operation Smile in Vietnam.
Wes grew up in Vienna, Va and attended James Madison High School right down the street from Vienna Endodontics! At that time, his passion was the Bass Trombone and he received a full scholarship to attend Boston University School for the Arts as a Performance Major. In 1999, he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance, cum laude, a Dean’s Scholar and Golden Key Honor Society Member.
After earning a Masters Degree in Performance from Manhattan School of Music, he became a professional musician with the Albany Symphony Orchestra and Burning River Brass, a classical ensemble group that toured the United States and abroad. He has performed with such renowned orchestras such as The New York City Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago and the New World Symphony.
In 2006, Wes re-directed his career path. He attended American University where he completed a program of prerequisite courses for dental school acceptance. In 2008, he began his dental school studies. He graduated in 2012 with a DMD degree from University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. While there, he served as Vice President of the Class of 2012. He distinguished himself by earning the Academic Affairs Award as well as the American Academy of Orofacial Pain Award for Outstanding Senior.
He completed a General Practice Residency at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y. Subsequently he gained entry into the Endodontic Residency Program at Lutheran Medical Center, one of the only paid Endodontic residencies in the country. While attending this program, Wes worked in private, general practice where he performed Endodontic procedures.
Wes is delighted to be back in Vienna and joining his father in practice. He intends on taking the practice further into the 21st Century with ethics and perfection as his mission as well.
